Neck reset? Here is my 52/57 conversion done by Jim Weyandt
YesNeck reset?
I bought it already converted. It does have a minor stress crack repair at the headstock but Jim made it disappearDid it have issues when it was a 52?
1959 PAFsPAF's?
If it were mine, I'd restore it back to a '52.
No joke.
Yeah but sticking a hot engine in it makes it more fun to drive. No joke.
Welding fins on to a 56 Chevy doesn't make it a 57.
Hence the why of converting it back to '52 Spec. P90's are about as ballsy and edge of the seat rock and roll as it gets.Yeah but sticking a hot engine in it makes it more fun to drive.
You also can’t put some things back once done. It has original finish on it now. Getting new finish to match the old to plug the pickup routes, ABR and stop tail is really basically impossible requiring a refinish so even from your “orthodox” vintage stand point the maximum possible amount of originality available is to leave it as it is.No joke.

That is a completely different question as to if it should have been done but as it sits? Worse outcome trying to put it back.
