Custom shop LP Custom - neck angle shallower that factory build guitars?

My new custom shop Ebony Les Paul Custom has a shallower neck pitch than factory build Les Paul Standards I owned & played previously.

Is this normal? Do Custom Shop guitars have reduced neck pitch...?

It's quite noticeable as the pups are much lower in the pup rings and the bridge is set quite low in comparison to the factory standards.

Is there a reason for this and what impact on sound/feel does this give?

Also, unless it's a trick of the black finish the top carve seems less pronounced too.
