@abalonevintage 'Abalone Vintage' Eric Ernest stops by Gruhn Guitars to show off and discuss a range of wonderful double necks ably and lovingly captured by Homeskoolin's good ol' Uncle Larry aka Tom Bukovac, in this wide-ranging discussion of things Gibson double neck.

Not only a compendium of information, but the video is bookended by the tale of Eric's recently acquired 61, the one that started his quest and continued fascination with double necks. A 42 year hunt finally arrived at a satisfying conclusion!

Enjoy!

One of the guitars feared is a 1937 Gibson ESH-150 Gibson Double Neck guitar, said to be the first Gibson solid body electric guitar ever made.

More on Eric's page on THIS.

Its a real shame Eric no longer participates on The Les Paul Forum he was flamed by someone that knows a whole lot less - This is also my concern of Facebook - Although other members are also missing this is a real shame - A lot of knowledge has not returned don't think they will this Facebook nonsense - has sealed the fate of this Forum it is now up to the anchor members to keep this vibrant - The Guitar Galaxy must stay in orbit - well leave the lights on for you to find your way back !

Totally, TOTALLY agree with George!

These are among the best electric guitars I've ever heard

I'd like to see them build a single neck six string hollow with a spruce top. Like a hollow SG. Maybe the ES-G? Some will say that the Johnny A model was close to that. I'm not of that opinion.

Buk laid hands on another one at today's visit to CME; this time, a 58:

He was smiling. Let's see if that one follows him home.
