I finally bit the bullet and got a proper pedal board power supply . I'd been using an Ispot with extentions but needed more juice .
I spent the afternoom switching the old cables out as well for the flat ribbon style. Very pleased with the results , I was able to add my Wah and Auto wah to the board with out sag and with the provided cables the MXR DC Brick ( M237) works like a charm. pedalboard redux.jpg

Good for you for dumping the daisy chain. Not just for more outlets but to break the chain.

"Clean" and "Dirty" terms are tossed around freely nowadays but lots of people don't really understand what that actually is. Anyway, No need to get into any of that here, but, daisy chains are a noisy problem when you mix analog and digital pedals due to crosstalk from one pedal to another. They also can cause ground loops from pedal to pedal. The voltage is just passed along from one pedal to another and any hum or noise originating from one pedal will just get passed to the others in the chain. Ground loops can be a problem when going on stage when the stage lighting gets into the power.

Isolated power outlets do not do that.

I switched to the Eventide Cloks Power supply. Sturdy, Small, well built, and isolated.
I also have VooDoo labs power supplies for the other two pedal boards but they have the plastic ports.

When I started hosting an Open Mic and playing every week my standards had to raise above the spare room jammer.
I spent my career as an Engineer so I knew what the issue was .. just didn't have the motivation .. I didn't even have a pedal board when this started .. ah progress...

Every cable , and all power should be as clean as possible .. otherwise you just add problems when you think you are saving money
