Unless you are looking at the Low Gain model they are not that bad. Just different from the competitors. Like 1958 Flying V was in the day. : )

How many have you had, and if more than one which one was your favorite for the original Range Master tone?

So far my favorite RM has been the Blue Keeley Java in the Treble setting, of which I have had two. Close second was the Analog Man Beano Boost. If you've tried those, then how would you compare the BSM?

Nothing a bit of spray paint can't fix! Or you could re-house it (I'm considering doing that with an EHX Double Muff which sounds great but is in the flimsiest housing I've ever seen).

Is it odd that knowing the dude died I would now feel bad about covering his designs?

I still want to try one out eventually, but if I bond with it and keep it will leave it as is.
