It's nothing that I would own, but it's ok.

I `m sure this would appeal to others more. I know they sound nice but I can`t for the life of me understand why one would want to buy a guitar that looked exactly like someone elses and appears to have been drug down the road behind a truck. Especially at the prices they are asking for the beat up look. Kinda like kids now days spending a fortune buying jeans that are full of holes and torn up but are sold as NEW! but then I guess that is me. If a real burst wasfor sale that looked like this I would consider jumping but not a RI or historic. Part of owning a NEW guitar is looking new and it aging NATURALLY by the person playing it. Then it has that persons character in it not someone elses. Oh well I guess different strokes.

I think it would look better with chrome rather than gold hardware.

I would have to agree I may like it better as a STANDARD with that top. I was more interested in seeing what people thought oftheat color. I like it and it`s different.

The color is okay, although not for me.
Same goes for the top. Not my kind of flame. :;jack :tw59

YES

Stunning display of craftsmanship, that's what this guitar is about. Absolutely beautiful, but I'd be afraid to play it for fear of dings,etc...For folks w/ more $$ than me.

It's very nice...elegant. I like the color but prefer the Boneyard model for the tigers eye finish. I don't know how they compare pricewise.

I realize I'm in the minority that love the looks of the Boneyard LP.

I think its beautiful, kind of looks like a muted gold sunset (ok, that was a little too poetic). But yes, I like that color a lot. Its different.

I have played a murphy. It was a Rossington model. I also played a 58RI and a 59RI all new and really didn`t feel the fuss. I actually like my 02 USA standard better for playability but the tone of the RI`s were sweet!. But not the extra expense to me over my standard. maybe I got a good Standard. I do belive though that if I played professionally or used an electric out more than I would go RI. But for me and what I use it for I didn`t notice that great a difference in tone of the Ri`s over my standard to justify the price.

Now a Gold top RI could be different as the price is real close. As for the feel of the murphy over a regular new RI I liked the feel of the New ones better as the worn finish feel I wasn`t comfortable with. Now if it was from MY playing over the years it may be different. They are all nice guitars. I guess it is cool that Gibson makes guitars for all of our different tastes!
