Didn’t seem to have any problems singing and playing it live.
Impressive.
That’s all I am going to say about that.
Wow! Talk about a deep dive! Very impressive.
Would have loved to have been there for a number of sessions to observe how they worked. In listening to the Beatles Anthology CD's, I was surprised how rough some of those first takes were. In some instances they were laughable! That's where I would have loved to see how they worked through it. Taking a very rough song and turning it into gold. What was their thought process? What triggered this or that idea? They still amaze me.
I've seen little bits of it here and there but not the whole thing. I must check that out sometimes. Thanks! If you have 8 hours to 'live' with them, spend that time with the 'Get Back' docuseries.
Highly recommended!
Do it several times in full, you will really start observing nuanced things in their behavior and process.
Absolutely. Even after one watch, you’ll feel like you understand their song building process, as well as who was a morning person and who was not, and how the audio engineers (Alan Parsons was one of them) bent over backwards for them. And all kinds of other interesting things, like @jb_abides says, the nuances. And finally, seeing how the public reacted (mostly positive) during the rooftop concert but how the few squeaky wheels got the police involved and cut it short. They must have felt pretty foolish later, given the musically historical significance of that live session. If you have 8 hours to 'live' with them, spend that time with the 'Get Back' docuseries.
