This is really cool. Talk about mojo.

Something crazy going on with the back of that headstock!

Really cool player, besides the headstock funkyness, either the neck binding is REALLY rounded over and appears to be thicker, or it may have had 80's thickness binding put on at some point.

Why would the binding get changed out? It is seriously weathered to say the least but surely the binding wouldn't come away would it? There's at least one 69 pot in there, and I've seen the finish come off the logo like that on 69's? Do you think it's an 80's LP Moon?

The binding on my 69 LPC is literally MUCH thinner near keys that the previous owner played in a lot. It can fall off too, get worn away etc, get screwed up during a refret... lots of reasons to swap out binding. The thinner stuff may not have been available if this guitar truly has had it changed at the time, might have been a time (like the 80s) where they simply didnt care. Jsut a thought.

Not SURE if it has been done to this one, but possible.

That's been listed and ended unsold a couple times already- the binding is for sure replaced (although the seller says it's stock..) and it weighs a good 10lbs, so although mojo-some for sure, rather overpriced IMO. To touch in the logo with a simple template would be easy enough, as would swapping out the brass hardware, and judging by the back wear it's a mighty sounding thing...I'm hummed and hawed over it as you can tell :)
