Hi:

I have a friend who has a late seventies, black beauty, two pickup Les Paul Custom.

He hasn'e been playing much and has expressed an interest in selling this piece.

The tough part is that it has a neck fracture, that has not yet been repaired.

I may be interested in buying and taking to a local guy who has repaired cracks for me before and has done extremely well.

The question is however, what is this guitar worth in its present state?; and what will it be worth when repaired?

I'd throw out a guess of say $700 without the repair and it might be worth $900 or so with it fixed, depending on how severe it was and how well the repair was performed and everything else on the guitar being in good shape. I've been following Customs on Flea-Bay and this would be a "ballpark" figure, more or less. Hope that helps-
