Hey all,

Im a long time customer with Atomic Music in Maryland, they get lots of interesting stuff and the shop reminds of what a music store was when I was a kid (loaded with a bunch of stuff you sifted through, with gems here and there). Anyway I like these people as they are generally fair, and usually handle trades better than most shops.

Anyhow, what do you all make of this 1965 SG Custom? Is this how it really left the factory (didn't think Grovers were an option then)..

Link to the listing and pictures..

Thoughts?

Grovers Rotomatics were standard on the Les Paul/SG Custom up to 1963. I once had an '63 SG Custom with factory Grover Imperial. I've also seen Gibson with factory Grover Rotomatics instead of Kluson. So it is not impossible.
I would like to see a picture of the guitar with its pickguard removed.

Nice item, looks legit. Not worth that to me. Make the 1st digit a 1, then we can start negotiating.

I like the way you think, I probably wont make it to 2095, but If I can sell my collection before 2080, maybe I can give my family a little chunk of cash :)

Or, your widow will sell your guitars for what you told her you paid for them.

that vintage model is so terrific looking..and those nut slots…wellll 🤔

I typically let me dog chew on the nut for a few days before install it... I can only assume the person who replaced the nut on this did the same lol.
