A stock modern tailpiece without ridges is acceptably close on my modern Junior. It may not work on every guitar. However, although I would love to have preserved a vintage look, I have to say that the Tonepros wraparound is better. It sounds clearer, rings longer, intonates perfectly and permanently. The only drawback is stringing up as you have to pass through 2 holes with a large gap in the middle. Tricky with the top E in particular.
