Just installed my Timbuckers

Well, I don't usually open this kind of threads, but I just installed my Timbuckers (Ed A wind) and just had to post my feelings about them. I had had them for almost three weeks, but hadn't had the time to install them earlier. I dropped them in yesterday and I'm just floored by them. I have no words to describe them, other than "amazing". Before I ordered them, I wasn't sure if I could justify spending this much money on pickups (since I'm only a college student and just play for fun), but they really are worth every penny. My guitar has always had a great, very resonant acoustic sound, but I hadn't expected that the Timbuckers would make it sound so much better amplified. Can't wait to try them out at a jam session I have this week and hear them at full volume. My guitar and amp are a much happier couple now; every time I plug it in and start playing, it sends shivers down my spine. Awesome!

Thanks Tim, for making a fantastic pair of pickups, and thanks, members of the LPF, for letting me know about them!

HI,
Can you say what the impedence are on these?
I have heard much about them & wondered if they were low 5-7 or higher 8-9 types.
Also how do you get on the list to buy? Is it only through email?
You sound like they were expensive, can you say how much & how long the waiting line is?
I just got a 91 Classic & love it but the pups are soooo hot I have them dropped all the way down. The neck is almost a 9 & the bridge is 14.4 yikes ;)
Thanks for any info. I'm hunting a new set

Impedance for my pair is 7.70k for the bridge and 8.37k for the bridge. Tim also makes a pair that's low-7 for the neck and high-7 for the bridge (the "Toni" wind). I don't know how long the list currently is, but I had my name added to it in August last year and received them three weeks ago. You can contact Tim at timwhite@knology.net, I'm sure he'll be happy to tell you how long the waiting time is. Contacting him by mail is, as far as I know, the only way to get on the list.

Thanks for posting ArthurS. That's what I'm looking forward to a pair of the Ed A wind. I'm gonna get covers on mine.
