Here are a few pictures of my almost complete Lefty guitar, and a couple from construction. Body and neck of Sapele, face is torrefied quilted maple, ebony fretboard, and lots of shiny pieces from StewMac. Many thanks to members of this forum for their posts, which I referred to often, especially to the 3 folks who posted the "Gold Standard Vintage Les Paul Plans," Daniel Dean, Frank Pine and Scott Wilkinson (March, 2020)
A few details on the build: The top was rough-carved by router and finished by hand using the plans above to make the router templates. After building a few carved top mandolins, carving this top was a breeze! The torrefied maple top got a couple of doses of wood bleach before being colored with Transtint wood dyes suspended in an alcohol/shellac mixture and sprayed. Finished with spray lacquer and polished.
I came very close to drilling out some material in the body to make it lighter, but did not. So, this beast weighs in at about 10.5 pounds.
