Yes! At first I didn't realize Fender did that, but it makes sense since they used the pearloid side for the Thinline Tele pick guards.

The late 60's Tele's with the "modern" wiring and 1 meg pots are "twangier " IMO than the older wiring ones with the 250k pots. The bridge pu on this one is pretty savage!
far out, I never realized that Fender put 1 Meg pots in any Telecaster!
One of the coolest Tele’s I’ve ever seen for sure.
Fender ought to do more black headstocks ?
