It's a cool-looking guitar, I'll check one out at my local store after my holidays. I liked some of the Jeff Beck group tunes which the original might have been used on.
As the original was re-necked, stripped of its finish and had replacement pickups, I suppose Gibson just went by the few available pics to put this one together but didn't actually have anything on hand to take any measurement, unlike Greeny, Joe Perry, JPP, CCs, etc.
It's a cool Murphy Lab but maybe the price point will be hard to justify unless the guitar happens to be phenomenal which would be... coincidental.

I just found this article about the Jeff Beck Yard Burst Les Paul guitar on the Gibson Gazette site and it has some cool info and photos of the guitar by a sharp looking Corvette car (nice touch since Jeff liked Hot Rods!).

Also had a quote from Sandra Beck about the making of the guitar:
“Jeff was enormously proud to have owned the original of this guitar,” says Sandra Beck. “He was aware and fully supportive of the amazing job and love that Gibson Custom provided to create this instrument and would have hoped that this guitar will give hours of pleasure to those who play it.”

I got to play one today which happened to have great clarity and really ring well throughout the neck. While the factory setup is ultra low, too low for my liking, there was no buzz. It looks really good.
