Does anyone have pictures of a FOR SURE original, late sixties strap that would have come with a Les Paul Custom or Les Paul Standard or Les Paul Deluxe?

CRITICALLY, it has to be original, as in the original owner told you that was the strap that came with it, etc. Thought it might be cool to put some pics up about it on the old website. :)

Thanks! Sorry for the criteria, but if I want to use the pics as reference material for others, when need to be sure. :dude:

Moonweasel - I have a mint 1968 Gibson strap in plain black leather. I did have an almost identical strap dating to the very early 1970's. The only difference was it had the Gibson font logo embossed onto the leather. This 1968 Gibson strap is about as plain Jane as they come and very generic but authentic. There were probably other generic straps offered, I don't know for sure. This one perfectly suits a LP Custom or any ebony boarded Gibby from 1968-1970.

Hope this helps.

That is mint! I have a couple of the embossed straps. I bought them as NOS in the early '70s, but they didn't come with the guitar so I wasn't sure......................

Flameburst,

Wow, that is really cool looking. Thank you for posting it! I am trying to train myself to spot them, how were you able to tell that this one was late sixties when you found it? Thanks for any advice you have.
