The Custom should return to Gibson USA

I think production of the regular Custom should return to Gibson USA. Leave the 68' at the Custom Shop.

I've always seen the Custom as the flagship model. Sure, you could argue the same of the Standard, but it would be nice to see a regular Custom return to somewhere in the realm of affordable for regular folks. Any other takes, such as the 68' are justifiably Custom Shop.

I get your take; however, people are conditioned to having the 'basic' LPC with the long neck tenon which is a spec Gibson will keep exclusive to the Custom Shop.

It'd be nice to see some more options for the LPC perhaps even a Chambered, and a range of pickups. Although that's something they've toyed with using dealer runs, direct exclusives, and Custom Select offerings.

Regarding 'flagship' status, Gison positiond the new Supreme as USA's top-tier model.

I agree that it would be nice to see options. Hell, I've even take a regular tenon and richlite/obeche if that's what it takes to bring the price down.

Options are always nice, but I'm turned off by Richlite laminated cardboard.
