These two are hard to beat for me as well. If you weren't in a certain time and place then they may not be for you, but to me each is perfect in its own way.

Here’s another that runs deep..
I met Jerry Douglas a few years ago.. and had to mention this performance .. and thanked him for it.. (as I play it often and played it each year for a decade) .. his humble reply was “no need to thank me.. music is free” .. he went on to say that this performance for him was a turning point.. as he won the CMA award and just decided to give up drinking, which was taking hold..and at risk of taking his art..

Jerry is a true gentleman for sharing his story with me.. and made this video that much more poignant.

this performance is truly remarkable.
