This week when I was rehearsing a new instrumental song that I just wrote, I played Les Pauls, L5s(s), Heritage H535(with P90s), Telecaster(s), Zemaitis(s), and my Teye La Perla. After listening back to all the tones, I liked my La Perla the best. Being able to thin out the pickups with the MOOD (Mojo) knob, really helps to get a singing lead tone and also helps to help keep rhythm tones tight. I know a lot of people think of Teye guitars as over the top, garish looking, guitars, but under the glitz there's definitely substance.I'm quite fond of my Teye View attachment 28827
Is that a made in Japan A24MF???? (with a Pao Ferro fingerboard?). I thought they stopped producton of those and moved most of non custom shop guitars to Korea production.

If so, I have one just like it in righty, as god intendedAnd it's a great guitar.
Yeah that's what I thought, mine is just like yours with the rosewood board. I pulled all the electronics on mine, and rewired with a Germanium preamp and a G&L PTB circuit (passive treble/bass). So the controls are now preamp on/off switch, master volume, bass cut, treble cut. Funny thing, I made an acquaintance at Zemaitis, his name was James Yerkes, he hand picked a few guitars for me, along with this one, he picked a black 22 fret Antanus, and my 22 fret custom shop. He now works for Gibson!Love it! - 'Made in Japan' by Dyna Gakki, A24MF NT, rosewood board.
I believe they stopped the 'Antanus' MIJ range in ~2019-2020, roughly 4 years after launch. The 'Casimere' line was Made in Korea.
They stopped lefties for a long time but they've brought one back: the MFG-AC-24 LH which has an ebony board.
It’s interesting a company named Reverend is making a single cut that is very similar to that shape and design of the this Yamaha and supposedly they’re using white Limba for the bodies and they’re selling at least one model for like 1299 and this is a part of their set neck line called Roundhouse…[ made by their proprietary factory in Korea or whatever part of a factory in Korea that’s just designated to this company] {along with the D’Angelico or however pronounce them that they’re making their guitars in Korea for a long time … but it seems like it’s either their own company or they have it sectioned off of a company that’s completely devoted to building their own guitars
Actually going to test to see if I can do a photo here “completely unrelated to the Roundhouse”
You got a good photo of the back side?Yamaha made the Weddingtons for a short while. Designed by Rich Lasner. I bought this one from Rich, it was his personal guitar. It has a lot of cool features. 5 way switch that gives you a bunch of tonal options. I really like the neck/body scooped heel. Unlike a Les Paul, I can zoom up to the 22nd fret and there is no neck heel in the way. The Weddington Customs were very labor intensive to build, Rich told me it cost Yamaha more to build these than what they sold for.
