I'm not in any position to buy another guitar. (Really don't need another anyway. I really don't).

But it would be nice (for others who do buy) to have the nut slots properly cut. I have two Les Pauls and one SG Special and all three had problems with the nut slots. Strange wavers and strings binding up that had to be corrected.

When you're paying that much for a guitar I really don't think this is too much to ask. I mean, in 2019 I bought an Epiphone SG Pro for $400.00 and had no isues with the nut slots. No wavers and no string binding.

I'm sure this would be a fringe build/only a select few that would be interested, but I'd love a '59 Les Paul Junior DC with a humbucker (split coil option), an ABR/stop tail, and tortoise shell pickguard that was offered in Cherry Red or TV Yellow.

praying for the return of a Cherry Singlecut LP jr. been looking at 2015 ones on reverb, but if they reissue the cherry color i'd gladly get that over the Les Paul 100 decal on the headstock of the 2015 ones.... or paying 3-4 grand for a custom shop 57. gross.

I'd like to see an aged darkback (brown) with pore filler offered for the LP standard line. Some better flame tops also, the original standards had great tops compared to what's being put out

Neck in the correct place so the 16 fret is sitting well past the fretbinding like in 1959-1960. And not like Japaneese knock offs.

Interesting. Exactly how much would the 16th fret need to move relative to the body to meet the specifications of a '59 LP?

As they do with Luxe Radio for their bumblebee capacitors, Gibson should outsource more of the parts on their Historic Reissues to improve vintage accuracy. Bartlett rings and pickguards would be a great start.

Bartlett has great parts. But would they be able to produce the high quantities that Gibson would require without cutting quality?

Therein lies the rub, of course. Luxe apparently had to suspend its retail business to devote enough operational capacity to meeting Gibson's demands - though they conveniently neglected to turn off online ordering when they did so, which kept the spigot open for incoming funds for orders they may or may not ever fill. Tom Bartlett is probably too ethical a guy to consider such a partnership.

If you think you can move a fret....
Please think again...

Yeah, frets can't move. Maybe explain with clarity what improvement you are referring to. What do you mean by "so the 16 fret is sitting well past the fretbinding"?

Maybe think about that again and let us all know.

A single cut ES-335 that is balanced on the shoulder with a strap like a Les Paul. Ie, not headstock heavy.

I don’t want to have to hold up the headstock with my left hand while playing any guitar.
